Mourinho warns no star is untouchable at Real Madrid

José Mourinho warned Vinicius Junior and Real Madrid’s other stars that no player is untouchable and that performance on the pitch determines a place in the team. Vinicius, who has struggled for form and is serving a four-match La Liga ban for hair-pulling, is available for Wednesday’s Champions League match against RB Leipzig. Yan Diomande, Madrid’s record 140-million-euro signing, scored against Sevilla on Sunday; Mourinho said Vinicius would play on the left against Leipzig but had not decided whether Diomande would start. Madrid are seeking a third win in three Champions League league-phase matches, while sitting third in La Liga, six points behind leaders Barcelona ahead of Sunday’s match against them.
