Orange Money defeated against CDEC in the BOFAS/Afriland case related to the Babadjou – Bamenda road

Orange Money Cameroun lost a lawsuit against the Caisse des dépôts et consignations (CDEC) regarding the BOFAS case. The Tribunal de première instance de Yaoundé-Centre administratif rejected Orange Money's request to annul a payment order of over 3.68 billion FCFA. The judge ruled the request unfounded and ordered Orange Money to pay the costs, giving them fifteen days to appeal.

Demography: Over 355,000 agents mobilized for the 4th general population census

The EU allocates 2.2 billion FCFA to combat illegal fishing in the Mouanko area

The European Union will allocate 3.3 million euros, approximately 2.2 billion FCFA, to combat illegal fishing in the Mouanko area of the Sanaga-Maritime department. The program, implemented by the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF), aims to enhance coastal surveillance and engage local communities in protecting fishery resources. In the villages of Yoyo and Mbiako, the EJF plans to provide a sub-grant of 9,000 euros to support community fishery management activities.
