Over 300 hearing-impaired schoolgirls to get 1500 free sanitary pads through special hygiene program in Tanzania

Over 300 young girls with hearing impairments will receive reusable sanitary pads through a one-year pilot program called 'Empowering Deaf Girls through Menstrual Hygiene'. The program will be implemented across three primary schools in the Arusha Urban District. Ewilimina Buberwa, president of the Msichana Imara foundation, emphasized that these girls often struggle to understand the biological changes associated with puberty due to their isolation.
