Over 80 cows die after eating suspected poisonous grass in Adamawa

At least 80 cows died in Chafajaule village, Ribadu District, after grazing on poisonous grass. Dr. Bartholomew Nyalas, the Director of Veterinary Services in the state, confirmed that the deaths may be due to cyanide poisoning, often caused by consuming wild sorghum after the first rains. Most of the cows were destroyed on the spot during the incident.
