Owerri Catholic Archdiocese declares one week prayer for reparation of stolen Monstrance

The Owerri Catholic Archdiocese has called for prayers following the theft of a Monstrance at St. Mulumba Parish. The parish priest, Rev. Fr. Raymond Madu, explained that unidentified individuals gained access to the church by tampering with the roofing. Archbishop Most Rev. Lucius Iwejuru Ugorji has mandated a week of reparation prayers from May 1 to May 8, 2026, to address this sacred violation.
