Kenya Extradites Afghan Drug Suspect to U.S. Over Narcotics Charges

The Kenyan government has extradited an Afghan national accused of drug trafficking to the United States, following a formal request from the U.S. The suspect, wanted by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, was arrested in Nairobi on April 15, 2025, after arriving from Kabul. The extradition proceedings were approved by Kenyan courts, and the suspect was handed over to U.S. officials at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on July 9, 2026.
