Oyo abduction: Eight schoolchildren still receiving treatment as hospital discharges 31

Thirty-one of the 39 pupils kidnapped on 15th May 2026 in Oriire Local Government Area, Oyo State, were rescued on 10th July and hospitalized. After treatment at the Military Hospital in Ibadan, they were moved to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, where 31 were discharged on Wednesday. Eight children needing further care remain under observation, according to hospital PRO Omotayo Ogunleye, who said they will be discharged soon.
