Macky Sall met with Bassirou Diomaye Faye at the Presidential Palace for the first time since leaving office in April 2024. The released images show a cordial handshake between the two leaders. Sall's visit is part of his diplomatic campaign for the position of UN Secretary-General. He arrived in Dakar aboard a private jet in the afternoon.
