Parliament Invites Views on Bill Introducing Mandatory ‘Nationhood Science’ in Schools

The Kenyan Parliament has invited citizens to submit their views on the 2025 Education Laws (Amendment) Bill, which proposes the introduction of a new mandatory subject called 'Nationhood Science'. This program aims to instill national values and citizenship responsibilities among learners, incorporating elements such as patriotism and national unity. If passed, all educational institutions will be required to embed this subject in their curricula, starting from early childhood education through to universities.
