PFIPC scandal: Police to arraign Adeniyi Adeyemi Tuesday

The Nigerian police will arraign Adeniyi Adeyemi, Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), before the Federal High Court on Tuesday. He and two others face eight counts of forgery and impersonation. The case, marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, was filed on November 27, 2025. Witnesses include the President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, and several civil servants. Documentary evidence includes Adeyemi's fake presidential appointment letter and approvals he obtained to open accounts at the Central Bank of Nigeria. President Bola Tinubu has directed the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) to conduct a thorough investigation.
