Advocacy for Respecting the Red Cross Emblem and Strengthening Support for Humanitarian Actions in the DRC

Officials from the Red Cross of the Democratic Republic of the Congo advocated for the respect of their emblem and increased support for humanitarian actions during World Red Cross Day, celebrated on May 8, 2026. National President Grégoire Mateso called for national and international solidarity in light of the critical humanitarian situation in the country. He also emphasized the need to protect the Red Cross emblem, which is often misused, endangering volunteers in the field.
