Over 100 midwives participate in registration for the Order in Beni

Since April 25, 2026, over 100 midwives from North Kivu have been participating in the registration operation for the Order in Beni, initiated by the National Council of Midwives. This initiative aims to identify and evaluate the skills of professionals in a context of high maternal and neonatal mortality. Hélène Kavugho, vice president of the Order, emphasizes the importance of this approach for improving the quality of care. Registration is a legal requirement for any midwife wishing to practice in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
