Over 300 civilians killed in five months following ADF attacks in Ituri and North Kivu

Since the start of 2026, over 300 civilians have been killed by ADF attacks in Ituri and North Kivu. The latest attack, on the night of May 30-31 against a Mbuti camp in Ngadi (Beni), killed seven people, including artist Shukrani Nzanzu Mangese. The UN Joint Human Rights Office calls for an independent investigation and enhanced civilian protection.

State seeks to lift orders freezing Sh204bn Safaricom stake sale
