Police arrest three suspects over vandalisation of critical infrastructure in Oyo

Oyo State Police arrested three suspects, Waheed Ayinde (54), Muhammed Sani (27), and Hassan Ibrahim (22), for vandalising railway tracks worth N200 million. They were intercepted on July 14, 2026, at Gambari, Orile-Igbon area following a tip-off. A HOWO truck with registration CAL 972 XA (Cross River) used to convey the stolen rails was also recovered.
