Police misconduct: FCT CP orders mental assessment of all personnel

The Commissioner of Police for the FCT Command, CP Ahmed Sanusi, convened an emergency meeting with all area commanders and divisional police officers to emphasize the need for high standards of professionalism. He directed a psychological and mental health assessment of all personnel, starting on May 4, 2026, to enhance emotional stability and judgment. Sanusi also warned that any senior officer whose subordinate engages in misconduct will be held vicariously liable.
