Kribi Port: An 8-Hectare Extension Announced to Increase Storage Capacity to 34,000 TEUs

The container terminal at Kribi Port will expand by 8 hectares to increase its storage capacity from 24,000 to 34,000 TEUs. The works, set to begin in July 2026, will be carried out by China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) at an estimated cost of between 16.3 and 19.6 billion FCFA. This extension aims to handle up to 1.2 million TEUs annually by 2028, and a feasibility study is underway for the construction of additional berths.
