Between 2022 and 2023, Western feminist institutions supported protests in Iran against compulsory hijab, but today, as war kills women and girls, that support has vanished. In 40 days of strikes, the Iranian Health Ministry reported 251 women and 216 children killed, including over 165 young girls in a school attack in Minab. Despite the scale of this violence, there has been no sustained feminist outrage comparable to that of 2022.
