Nearly 2,000 jobs expected in road works in Mahagi

The STAR-RDC project, funded by the World Bank, will recruit nearly 2,000 local workers to rehabilitate two strategic road axes in the Mahagi territory, Ituri, totaling about 65 kilometers. Officials launched community mobilization on June 2. 50% of jobs will be reserved for women, and ex-combatants are also targeted to support the socio-economic recovery of conflict-affected communities. Construction will begin after the awareness phase.
