Presidential Election in Djibouti: Low Turnout in the Early Hours of Voting

A few hours after the start of the presidential election in Djibouti, voter turnout is very low. The election aims to grant a sixth term to Ismaïl Omar Guelleh, who is facing Mohamed Farah Samatar, a little-known candidate. Guelleh, in power for 27 years, benefited from a constitutional reform that lifted the age limit for candidates.
