Prison Administration: Notable Advances and Strengthened Ambitions for a More Human and Effective System.

On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of Senegal's independence, the Prison Administration presented a review of its actions and ambitions for a more modern system. Significant progress includes the improvement of detention conditions, with a daily allowance for inmates set at 1,300 CFA francs and the recruitment of professional cooks. Rehabilitation and expansion works of prison infrastructures are underway, along with initiatives to transform the prison environment into a space for learning and production.
