Kasomeno–Kasenga–Chalwe Project: Significant Progress Recorded in July 2026 (ACGT)

The Kasomeno-Kasenga-Chalwe project connecting the DRC to Zambia is showing major progress in July 2026. The metal components of the 362-meter-long, nearly 20-meter-wide Haubané bridge have arrived from China and are being assembled on site in Chalwe. The 93 km road is receiving its wearing course in sections, and the one-stop border post, comprising 37 buildings, is under construction with nine buildings already at the foundation stage.
