Promotion of Peace and Living Together: The Ombudsman Opens Its Doors to UNPCS

A delegation from the National Union for Peace and Social Cohesion (UNPCS), led by vice-president Tapé Doudou, was received by Sanogo Mamadou, director of Social Cohesion Strengthening at the Ombudsman's office in Cocody on July 14, 2026. Tapé Doudou explained that UNPCS was born from the experience of peasant actors facing the consequences of socio-political crises on farmers. The organization seeks a technical partnership with the Ombudsman for training and advice on conflict prevention. Sanogo Mamadou welcomed this citizen initiative and recalled that the Ombudsman promotes proximity mediation focused on rural communities.
