Putin praises the Iranian people's resistance against the United States

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed his support for Iran during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Saint Petersburg. He praised the Iranian people's determination to maintain their independence against American and Israeli pressures. Putin also stated that Russia would continue to work towards restoring calm in the Middle East and proposed to play a mediating role between Washington and Tehran.
