Education is a weapon of mass instruction — Defence Minister

Nigeria's Defence Minister, General Christopher Musa (retd.), stated that the country cannot defeat banditry, terrorism, and violent extremism through military force alone, arguing that education remains one of the most powerful weapons against insecurity. He spoke at the commissioning of Kaduna Christian Academy, a faith-based school donated by friends of the Director-General of the DSS, Mr. Oluwatosin Adeola Ajayi. Musa warned that terrorists and bandits often rely on local collaborators for information and called on citizens to provide credible intelligence to security agencies. The event drew support from government officials, Christian and Muslim leaders, highlighting the link between education, security, and national unity.
