Algeria: FAF declines to grant Hemdani’s request

Algeria coach Brahim Hemdani asked the Algerian Football Federation to appoint a second assistant alongside Antar Yahia. According to winwin, former internationals Nadir Belhadj and Karim Matmour are among the names proposed, but the FAF has postponed its decision until March while it reviews candidates, some of whom remain under contract with their clubs. The federation does not consider the appointment urgent, as Hemdani and Yahia have prepared the next camp and are already keeping in touch with the players. Algeria, top of Group I, will face Togo on November 14 and 17 in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
