Police rescue unconscious man allegedly under drug influence in Anambra

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command rescued an unconscious middle-aged man found without identification or phone, allegedly under the influence of hard drugs. He was discovered by B Division patrol officers on Oby Okoli Avenue near UNIZIK Temporary Site in Awka on July 15, 2026. Police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga said the victim was taken to Police Hospital Awka for treatment. Authorities highlight the dangers of substance abuse and continue their campaign against cultism and other vices.
