Crash on the Yaoundé–Ayos Road: Three Heavy Trucks Block Traffic Near Elat

Three trucks—two flatbeds carrying goods and a Dyna-type truck—collided around midday in a wooded area shortly before Elat on the Yaoundé–Ayos road. Initial accounts reported several injured people and significant property damage, but no deaths had been reported at publication; emergency services had yet to confirm the toll. The crash halted more than 50 vehicles in both directions, including a Ministry of Defence convoy. Drivers tried to create a temporary passage while waiting for equipment to move the wrecked trucks.
