Raphinha Closes in on Cristiano Ronaldo Record Despite Barça’s La Liga Defeat

Barcelona lost the Clasico 2-1 to Real Madrid at Camp Nou on Sunday, October 25. Raphinha equalized in the 61st minute, but Kylian Mbappé scored the winner in the 87th. With 13 goals after ten La Liga matchdays, the Brazilian is the first player to reach that mark since Cristiano Ronaldo scored 17 over the same period in 2014-15. LaLiga named Raphinha its player of the month on October 2 after he recorded seven goals and two assists in four league matches, including consecutive hat-tricks against Racing Santander and Sevilla.
