Osun Auditor-General seeks stricter overhead controls for MDAs

The Auditor-General of Osun State, Kolapo Idris, recommended stricter controls over overhead funding for ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) that fail to provide proper financial accountability. In his report on the accounts of the Osun State Government for the financial year ending December 31, 2025, Idris identified financial and administrative issues, including negligence by internal auditors and fictitious expenditures. He also called for further training for accountants and strict compliance with accounting standards.
