On May 8, 2026, the Minister of Environment and Ecological Transition, Abou Bamba, officially launched the first edition of the 'Grand Formats of Environment and Climate' in Abidjan, as part of the National Fortnight of Environment and Climate (QNEC) 2026. He emphasized the importance of the complementarity between economic development and environmental protection while announcing strict enforcement of pollution laws. The QNEC 2026, scheduled from June 3 to 19, will highlight electric mobility and the enhancement of ecosystems as drivers of local economic growth.
