Carrick unsure over Manchester United future after Bournemouth loss

Michael Carrick said he would do what is best for Manchester United after a 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth cast doubt on his future as manager. United are winless in eight games in all competitions and sit just one point above the relegation zone. Supporters largely backed Carrick at full-time before turning their anger on the players. His decision to leave captain Bruno Fernandes on the bench without bringing him on followed the Portuguese midfielder’s criticism of Carrick’s tactics after Wednesday’s 4-1 loss to Como.
