Four convicted in US related to killing of Haitian President Jovenel Moise

Four individuals have been convicted in the United States in connection with the assassination of Haitian President Jovenel Moise in 2021. Arcangel Pretel Ortiz, Antonio Intriago, Walter Veintemilla, and James Solages were found guilty of conspiring to kill or kidnap Moise, as well as providing material support for the plot. US prosecutors stated that southern Florida served as a central hub for planning and funding the assassination. A fifth defendant, Christian Emmanuel Sanon, is set to be tried later due to health issues.
