Estêvão will ‘have his moment’ at Chelsea, Alonso says

Chelsea head coach Xabi Alonso said Brazilian winger Estêvão, 19, will get his opportunity this season despite limited playing time and being an unused substitute in the penalty-shootout defeat to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. Estêvão has played 172 minutes across eight appearances this season, following a debut campaign cut short by injury in which he scored eight goals and provided three assists in 36 matches. He has yet to record a goal contribution in 2026-27 and missed the 2026 World Cup with a hamstring injury. Chelsea host Manchester United on Saturday and are scheduled to play Sunderland before the November international break.
