Recurring bloodbaths: Nigeria is too fragile, too fractured to be safe

Following the massacre in Jos, Plateau State, President Bola Tinubu stated he was not elected to create widows and widowers. However, his administration has overseen the creation of thousands of widows and orphans due to terrorist attacks. Amnesty International accused Tinubu of issuing ineffective statements while failing to protect lives. Insecurity in Nigeria has worsened under each government, with increasing loss of life and abductions.
