Goh Region: The OIA Coffee-Cocoa Sector Appeals for the Removal of 60,000 Tons of Cocoa at 2800 FCFA/kg

The Interprofessional Organization of the Coffee-Cocoa Sector of Côte d'Ivoire (OIA) has requested the government to consider the removal of 60,000 tons of cocoa at the price of 2800 FCFA/kg during a meeting in Gagnoa. Thibeaut Yoro, representing the OIA, emphasized that failing to remove these stocks could lead to the bankruptcy of producers. Although the price for the intermediate campaign is set at 1,200 FCFA/kg, producers refuse to have their stocks transferred to this campaign, which would result in a price drop.
