Residents of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have raised concerns over rising food prices, making life increasingly difficult for low- and middle-income families. A survey revealed that the price of a paint bucket of tomatoes has increased from N2,000-N2,500 to N3,000-N3,500, while a kilogram of meat has risen from N7,000 to N8,000. Residents attribute the surge in prices to increased demand during Ramadan and fuel price hikes.
