Thirteen children abducted during an incursion by LRA rebels in Bas-Uele

Thirteen children, including nine girls aged 10 to 16, were abducted during an attack by Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels in the village of Bale, located in Bas-Uele, on the night of April 3-4. The attackers also looted homes and destroyed medical equipment at the Kpokpo health center. Due to a lack of communication means, the alert was only raised to authorities 48 hours after the incident.
