Botswana: an exceptional 1,305-carat diamond discovered in the Karowe mine – La Nouvelle Tribune

Lucara Diamond Corp. announced on July 13, 2026, the recovery of a 1,305.4-carat white diamond at the Karowe mine in Botswana. This brings to ten the number of stones over 1,000 carats recovered from the site since 2012. The diamond was detected by the Mega Diamond Recovery X-ray system. CEO William Lamb emphasized the exceptional consistency of the deposit, as the mine prepares to transition from open-pit to underground operations.
