Rivers state moves to tackle snakebite emergencies with anti-venom doses

The Rivers State Primary Health Care Management Board has acquired 500 doses of snake anti-venom for deployment at primary health facilities. Executive Secretary Dr. Chituru Adele confirmed that the anti-venom is available to handle snakebite emergencies. This initiative follows the death of Nigerian singer Ifunanya Nwangene, attributed to delayed medical attention after a snakebite.
