NGO APRU works to repatriate 15 Congolese children escaped from the LRA in CAR to Kinshasa

The NGO Action for Rural Promotion (APRU) is working to repatriate fifteen Congolese children who escaped from LRA rebels and are currently in the Central African Republic. These children are being cared for by a foster family in Djema, and efforts are underway to secure their evacuation. Jean-Claude Malitano, the NGO's coordinator, stated that the repatriation is scheduled for May 15, followed by psychosocial support and socio-economic reintegration in the Haut-Uele province.
