Ebolowa-Akom II-Kribi Road: UKEF Guarantees 130 Billion FCFA Financing Arranged by Standard Chartered

Financing of €198.3 million (approx. 130 billion FCFA) for paving the Ebolowa-Akom II-Kribi road is guaranteed by UK Export Finance (UKEF). Arranged by Standard Chartered, the package includes an additional €11.9 million commercial loan not covered. The agreement was signed on May 15, 2026 with Minister Alamine Ousmane Mey. The 162-km road will connect Kribi to Ebolowa, improving safety and reducing transport costs.
