Ruto Orders CS Ogamba to Fund KMTC Students From Next Semester

President William Ruto directed that Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) students receive government funding starting May 2026 as part of reforms in tertiary education financing. He instructed the Ministry of Education to ensure KMTC students are included in the new funding framework proposed by the Tertiary Education Placement and Funding Bill. Additionally, more resources will be allocated to recruit more staff at KMTC to enhance training capacity.
