Rwanda presses states to nab genocide suspects as Africa told to confront roots of violence

Rwanda has renewed calls for the arrest and prosecution of suspects linked to the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi living abroad. During the annual Kwibuka commemoration, President Paul Kagame emphasized that justice for victims remains incomplete as long as alleged perpetrators evade accountability. He also warned against genocide denial and indifference, stating that justice cannot be achieved while those responsible are still free.
