US removes Venezuela from list of drug transit, production countries

The Trump administration has decided to remove Venezuela from its list of major drug transit or production countries. This decision follows the arrest of former president Nicolas Maduro on drug trafficking charges and growing cooperation with interim president Delcy Rodriguez. Trump also noted that Bolivia and Colombia, while remaining on the list, may have their status reassessed due to recent political changes.
