Uganda: Reforestation to the Rescue of Mountain Gorillas

In southwestern Uganda, local communities are restoring forests around Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to protect the habitat of mountain gorillas, with around 450 individuals residing in the area. Organizations distribute trees to residents to reduce pressure on the forest and provide access to local resources. Christina Katushabe, founder of Change a Life Bwindi, emphasizes the importance of biodiversity and educating youth about forest preservation.
