FRIVAO Case: Constant Mutamba Sentenced to 10 Years in Prison for Embezzlement

The Court of Cassation sentenced Constant Mutamba, former Minister of Justice, to 10 years in prison for embezzlement of public funds in the FRIVAO case. Chançard Bolukola Osony, former interim coordinator of FRIVAO, received a seven-year hard labor sentence for money laundering. Both convicts are also banned from public office and must return the embezzled funds to the FRIVAO account.
