Saudi Arabia: Hajj continues in Mecca despite the heat

Muslim pilgrims continued the rituals of Hajj on Mount Arafat on Tuesday, despite the sweltering heat. The streets around the Namira Mosque were nearly deserted, with most worshippers praying indoors in air-conditioned spaces. This gathering on the hill of Arafat marks the second official day of the pilgrimage, considered the highlight of Hajj, which is one of the five pillars of Islam.
