Congo-Brazzaville: Cyclist Miguel Masaïsaï from the DRC dies in an accident in Ouesso

Congolese cyclist Miguel Masaïsaï died on September 18, 2026, in a road accident in Ouesso, near the border with Cameroon. He had embarked on a cycling journey across Africa called 'Pedals for Peace', aiming to connect Goma to Rabat, Morocco, over a distance of 14,000 kilometers. Before his death, he had already traveled over 6,500 kilometers through the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo-Brazzaville.
