Food security: Lagos targets N16.14trn economy potential through mega Infrastructure

The Lagos State Government has intensified efforts to transform agriculture into a multi-trillion-naira economic sector by unveiling major infrastructure and market reforms. Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, announced that the flagship project, the Lagos Central Food Systems and Logistics Hub in Epe, is set to become the largest food logistics hub in Sub-Saharan Africa. This hub is designed to handle over 1.5 million metric tonnes of food annually and will feature storage systems, processing centers, and digital trading platforms.
