Security not responsibility of govt alone - Islamic cleric tells Oyo residents

Islamic cleric Sheikh Abdul-Mu'min Shehu Usman, first Muqaddamul Wai'zeen of Oyo State, calls on all Imams, Islamic organizations, traditional rulers, and citizens to unite against insecurity. He states that security is a collective trust (amanah), not solely the government's responsibility, and condemns the abduction of students and teachers in Oriire local government area. Usman urges Muslims to dedicate two minutes after each obligatory prayer for the captives' release and encourages youth to focus on education and peacebuilding.
